Plant Based Vegan Rice Protein Powder Blend
The Vegan Rice Protein Powder Blend is a protein powder blend that enhances the user’s daily diet, with not only high levels of complete and balanced plant protein, but also dietary fibre and herbs.
Vegan Rice Protein Powder Blend contains brown rice protein, providing 67.7g of protein per 100g. We have also added fibre (from chicory root extract), green tea extract and guarana seed extract to the blend to support everything from a healthy colon and stable blood sugar levels, to healthy weight management, a fast metabolism and high energy levels.
It is easily digestible and does not cause bloating or flatulence, which many people experience with dairy-based protein powders – an ideal alternative to whey and soya. It is vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free.
Vegan Rice Protein Powder Blend is a vegan protein isolate that is an alternative to the more common whey and soy protein isolates. Brown rice can be treated with enzymes that will cause carbohydrates to separate from proteins. The resulting protein powder is then sometimes flavored or added to smoothies or health shakes.
Vegan Rice Protein Powder Blend has a more distinctive taste than most other forms of protein powder. Like whey hydrolysate, this flavor is not effectively masked by most flavorings; however, the taste of rice protein is usually considered to be less unpleasant than the bitter taste of whey hydrolysate. This unique rice protein flavor may even be preferred to artificial flavorings by consumers of rice protein.
Vegan Rice Protein Powder Blend is commonly mixed with pea protein powder. Rice protein is high in the sulfur-containing amino acids, cysteine and methionine, but low in lysine. Pea protein, on the other hand, is low in cysteine and methionine but high in lysine. Thus, the combination of rice and pea protein offer a superior amino acid profile that is comparable to dairy or egg proteins, but without the potential for allergies or intestinal issues that some users have with these proteins. Moreover, the light, fluffy texture of pea protein tends to smooth out the strong, chalky flavor of rice protein.
Brown rice protein: Rice protein is a superb plant source of amino acids and lean, quality and balanced protein. It offers a good alternative for people who are vegetarian or vegan. What’s more, it is hypoallergenic (i.e. it tends to cause fewer allergic reactions than many other protein sources) and it is easily digested. It is also dairy and gluten free, making it ideal for coeliacs, as well as those with dairy, lactose and gluten intolerances or allergies. With a 98% correlation to mother’s milk and a 97% correlation to whey protein, rice protein is one of nature’s most complete and readily-digested protein sources, providing a good balance of essential amino acids (comparable to dairy or egg proteins).
Chicory root extract: Chicory root is rich in a natural vegetable fibre called inulin. Plants like chicory store extra energy in their roots in the form of inulin and other carbohydrates. The inulin in chicory root can be extracted and isolated for use as dietary fibre.
- Supports the absorption of the mineral calcium
- Lowers blood glucose response after eating
- Maintains regularity.
Green tea extract: Green tea (Camellia Sinensis) contains various nutritional compounds, such as polyphenols, tannin, theophylline, caffeine, vitamin C and many other organic substances. It is an exceptionally good source of antioxidants and alkaloids. In fact, the key active component in green tea, epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), is many times more potent in terms of its antioxidant capacity than even vitamin C or vitamin E. It also contains various vitamins (such as vitamin A, D, E, C, B, H and K) and minerals (such as manganese, zinc, chromium and selenium).
Guarana seed extract: Guarana is the dried paste made from the crushed seeds of P. cupana or P. sorbilis, a woody perennial shrub native to Brazil and other regions of the Amazon. It bears orange-red fruits that contain up to 3 seeds each. The seeds are collected and dry-roasted over fire. The kernels are ground to a paste with cassava and moulded into cylindrical sticks, which are then sun-dried.
